Drug Driver Behaviour Change
If you were charged with driving a vehicle and you tested positive for drugs/substances, and it was your first offence, you are required to complete this program. The program offered following a drink or drug driving conviction involves attendance for 2 x 3 hour session.
- $450 which includes the Government Fee of $67
- OR
- $410 concession which includes the Government Fee of $34
Vic Roads will notify you in writing which program you are required to complete. If you have not received a letter please contact emai ddd@roads.vic.gov.au
At Drive Safe Drive Right, we want you to succeed in attaining your driver’s licence. By completing the Drug Drive Behaviour Change program, Drive Safe Drive Right will provide information to VicRoads in relation to your completion of the Behaviour Change Program.
This course applies to you if:
- you were caught driving with illicit drugs in your system and
- it was your first offence.

If you were charged with a first drug driving offence, you must complete a drug driver behaviour change program to work on getting your licence back. This program will help you do that with 2 x 3-hour sessions.
Anyone that has been convicted of a drug driving offence for the first time must undergo this program.
After paying the $450 fee ($410 if you have a concession), you will attend 2 x 3-hour sessions to complete your mandated drug driving behaviour change program.
